IMA's team of international consultants provide specialist knowledge and input covering all areas of marketing including agency fees, digital production, merchandising, sales promotion, TV production, photography, experiential and print production.
The IMA International management team is led by Sheryl Norman and David Burgess who have extensive experience in senior marketing communication roles. They are supported by a team of industry experts covering all areas of the marketing mix to provide specialist knowledge and input into complex TV production and marketing agency fee negotiations.
Sheryl has over 20 years experience in marketing communications, procurement and management consultancy roles in international organisations in Europe and US – including Coca-Cola, Omnicom, Disney and IPG. Having worked both client and agency side has given Sheryl a unique ability and passion for finding ways to improve agency/client working practices that benefits the overall relationship and reduces cost. Digital is also in her veins as she spent several years as Digital Director of OMG and leading digital strategy while at Coca-Cola. Sheryl is an avid runner and regularly takes part in races of various distances.
David BurgessHead of Production
David started his advertising career as Head of Radio at Bates Dorland before moving into the world of production at MPC. He was Founder and Director of production company The Business, Direktion Ltd and MD of Harry Films. David has worked on some of the biggest international brand productions including P&G, Unilever, British Airways, Coca-Cola, Heinz and VW. He was awarded a Golden Lion at Cannes and has lectured on production for The British Council. He lives on a boat in Chelsea which makes it very easy to get to football matches.
Co-founder of IMA, Derek has overseen and negotiated production costs for hundreds of major advertisers covering more than 1,000 TV productions. Derek spent 9 years as Marketing Director of Nabisco and honed his advertising skills at a top London agency. He has international advertising and marketing experience with Unilever, Cheseborough-Ponds and Revlon. He led IMA's production consultancy since 1989 and now acts as a consultant.
